Martin is a lawyer and former CEO with over 25 years of experience in the financial world. At Breakaway, he finds joy in empowering his advisors and clients to truly step into their greatness.
Shea Keats / Founder, Advisor + CEO
Shea has been with Breakaway from the start and was thrilled to accept the role of CEO in 2022. Her experience in building small business and start-ups helps Breakaway and her clients.
Michelle Löpez / Founder, Advisor + COO
Michelle lives and breathes entrepreneurship. She has served for over 15 years as a CFO, controller, and business manager, while also raising 3 lively young girls.
Our Advisors
Sabrina started Breakaway Private, helping high net-worth individuals manage their assets and their lives in our family office division.
Barbara is an experienced Healthcare CFO, working primarily with physician owned groups. She is currently home-based in southern Spain and in her spare time enjoys hiking across Europe.
With 15 years of experience, Gretchen loves working with small businesses from a variety of industries. She is a powerhouse community leader and is active in her local Rotary Club and PTA.
Mitesh is an experienced CPA who goes beyond the delivery of monthly financial statements and works with his clients to create strategic plans to increase cashflow, revenue, and profits. Mitesh lives in the New York City area with his adorable pup Charlie and is also a published children’s author.
Nicole is dedicated to helping her clients understand complex problems. This U of O grad and numbers whiz comes to us from Brazil where, when she’s not immersed in a spreadsheet, she’s living the surf life with her young daughter.
Jillian is a client services and systems pro with an MBA from George Fox University. When she’s not working, she enjoys hosting friends and family at her home in the country.
Danielle comes to Breakaway after 7 years of experience in financial services and market research working with top Wall Street clients. She is dedicated to providing high-net worth families with bespoke day-to-day advice to help manage their money and reach their financial goals.
Rick is dedicated to clearing the obstacles that keep small business owners from reaching their highest potential. He goes beyond your financial statements to see what your business really needs. When he’s not serving as a virtual CFO and advisor to his clients, you can find him spending time outdoors and spending time with his three sons.
Adrienne is an experienced bookkeeper who is passionate about serving her clients and helping them solve any problem. She is an avid equestrian and spends her free time riding with her daughters and taking care of their equine friends.
Vonmarie Thomas / Advisor
Vonmarie is located in New York City and brings more than a decade of experience in financial reporting and full cycle accounting. She is a whiz at budgeting and expense report generation for small business organizations. Vonmarie loves speaking on financial literacy and is a mentor for C-STEP, an organization that provides support for BIPOC students entering the STEM industry.

We are excited to welcome Scott to the Breakaway team as of September 2021. Scott specializes in the cannabis industry and regulatory compliance.

Joe is a CPA who brings a wide breadth of experience to business owners in providing strategic advice and oversight to the finance function as a Fractional CFO. He maintains and active lifestyle and especially enjoys mountain biking and golfing in Central Oregon.
Linda Aziz / Advisor
In addition to being an advisor, Linda is the COO of an international sourcing and consulting company and owner of a food manufacturing business. Linda resides in the midwest and has been a business owner for many years. She understands the complexities of starting a business and staying in business. She is an experienced professional with background in marketing, communications, project management, concept development and analysis. Her areas of experience includes and not limited to Marketing, PR, Accounting, Human Resources, Communications, Supply Chain Logistics & Distribution.
